The Assistant Buyer Merchandiser supports the Product team across retail buying, wholesale merchandising and commercial operations.

The role helps build commercially relevant assortments, supports seasonal market preparation, manages product and sample information, analyses sales performance and partners cross-functionally with Planning, Allocations, VM, Marketing, Sales, Operations teams and vendors to execute product strategies that meet or exceed business objectives.

This position provides commercial and operational support through reporting, product administration, competitor research, store feedback, delivery tracking, allocation support and market readiness.

The successful candidate will develop strong product knowledge, build ownership of a divisional area under supervision and contribute recommendations that support growth, profitability and trend relevance.

What you’ll do

  • Support range planning through sales analysis, trend insight, pricing opportunities and product performance.
  • Produce accurate weekly, monthly and seasonal reports with clear commercial insights.
  • Maintain key product documents and systems, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Act as a key contact for product, sample, digital showroom and merchandising updates.
  • Support market preparation, presentations and showroom set-up, including sample management.
  • Work with Buying Coordinators to input, check and reconcile POs and orders.
  • Partner with Planning, Allocations and DC teams to track shipments, orders, stock and product flow.
  • Conduct competitor research, comp shops and store visits, sharing actions to maximise opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support launches, selling tools, training materials and market execution.
  • Coordinate photoshoots, samples, image requests, uniform documents and product communications.
  • Attend buy appointments, store visits and business meetings, including occasional European travel.
