Role Overview: The Manager, People Communications & Engagement, Michael Kors, EMEA is responsible for the creation and delivery of clear and engaging communications, programs, and tools that inform and inspire the organization and frame the employee experiences. Through creativity, organization, and impeccable writing skills, you will play a significant role in creating clarity, alignment, and engagement across the organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategy
    • Partner closely with the Director, Global People Communications, to continue to evolve the Communications Center of Expertise, including defining the COE’s global strategy and regional EMEA strategy.
    • Develop new ways of engaging employees through exciting and brand-appropriate activations that align with our employees’ needs and interests.
    • Create and manage the EMEA regional communications and engagement strategy.
  • Daily Operations
    • Work closely with internal clients and stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and ensure initiatives, announcements and programs have an effective communication strategy and engaging delivery, while aligning with the larger Internal Communications strategy.
    • Partner with teams such as Culture & Belonging, Marketing, Retail and Ecommerce to ensure we are communicating compelling messages that align with the company’s purpose.
    • Manage daily internal communications needs, including intake, writing, editing, and distribution.
    • Oversee the coordination of EMEA messaging to ensure consistency and timely delivery.
    • Help to manage and maintain company employee intranet, Front Row @ Capri.
    • Support in the management of our tools, systems, and processes that support Communications goals.
    • Lead and develop the creation, execution and facilitation of employee engagement & wellbeing initiatives such as office socials, celebrations and initiatives.
    • Oversee the maintenance of team project calendars and internal distribution lists.
    • Oversee and manage the connected communities engagement working group, and plan engagement calendar for the year.
    • Manage Ad Hoc projects for the department, as needed.
    • Partner with Director on information dissemination to ensure communications are delivered on the right platforms, to the right audiences and at the right time, while ensuring varied company messages are not contradictory or competing.
    • Anticipate and proactively address communications concerns or issues by partnering with the Director and team to ensure effective and timely resolution.
    • Oversee the evolution maintenance of communication platforms including the intranet.
    • Partner with Director to develop ongoing cadence of events and activities to foster team building and community.
    • Assist Director, Global People Communications with the creation and implementation of company Roadshows and Directors offsite.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant communications experience, preferably in a luxury Retail, Wholesale and/or Corporate environment with a global employee presence.
  • Genuine interest in the well-being of employees.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced work environment, pivot quickly based on changing business needs, manage time appropriately, and remain composed under pressure.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • A high degree of creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Ability to speak and write in multiple languages preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign is preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applications, including Microsoft Teams, is preferred, but not required.
