We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Product Planner - Franchise in our London office:

Department overview: The Franchise division is part of the Wholesale team within Michael Kors and is responsible for 140+ stores across 25+ countries, spanning Lifestyle, Multi-brand, Outlet and Ecommerce. The Planning function works closely with Buying, Sales, Operations, Logistics and VM to maximise sales potential, optimise inventory and drive profitable growth across our Franchise partners. The team operates in a fast-paced environment and must be agile and responsive to partner needs and changing business priorities.

What You’ll Do

  • Commercial Planning & Trading
    • Produce and analyse regular trade reporting, highlighting performance movements, risks and opportunities and recommending actions.
    • Maintain and reforecast sales plans, WSSIs, inventory and OTB for designated partners, ensuring plans reflect current performance and business expectations.
    • Manage the weekly review of NOS and identify replenishment opportunities to maximise sales and availability.
    • Support in-season trading activity including replenishment, stock flow, transfers, cancellations, markdowns and EOSS, minimising terminal stock and maximising sell-through.
    • Autonomously manage designated Partner WSSIs, forecasting seasonal OTB and proposing in-season trading opportunities for Senior Planner sign-off.
  • Market & Partner Planning
    • Support market preparation through sales and OTB analysis, WSSI reviews, range and assortment planning and preparation of partner-facing tools.
    • Maintain buying and market tools, reviewing orders against OTB, division mix and agreed plans and highlighting material variances.
    • Support buying appointments and market activity for owned product divisions, providing analysis and recommendations.
    • Attend and lead meetings with selected partners, using performance analysis to support discussions, challenge where appropriate and identify opportunities.
    • Support monthly sales planning and forecasting for designated partners, balancing MK and partner expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Product Planning to support the execution of product strategy through partner buys, assortment decisions and in-season trading.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Buying, Operations, Logistics and VM to support forecasts, stock flow, market activity, new store openings and store closures.
    • Build strong relationships with Franchise partners, providing clear analysis, recommendations and follow-up.
    • Communicate proactively across the Planning team, raising risks, issues and support requirements early.
  • Ownership & Team Contribution
    • Take ownership of designated partners, planning tools, reporting and actions, delivering accurately and deadline.
    • Support and guide Planning Coordinator, ensuring accurate data input and effective completion of agreed tasks.
    • Deputise for the Senior Planner where appropriate.
    • Collaborate across the wider Planning team to share knowledge, best practice and workload and support consistent ways of working.
  • Planning Excellence & Continuous Improvement
    • Maintain high standards of accuracy across WSSIs, reporting, planning tools and partner data.
    • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and ways of working to increase efficiency, sales, profitability and sell-through.
    • Support the development of planning systems and processes, including appropriate use of technology, AI and automation.
  • Decision Making & Influence
    • Use data and commercial understanding to identify performance movements, risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
    • Take ownership of planning and trading decisions for designated partners within agreed parameters.
    • Challenge partner requirements and proposed buys where supported by data and commercial insight.
    • Escalate material risks, decisions and issues to the Senior Planner in a timely manner.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with planning systems and data visualisation tools is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong commercial awareness with an interest in luxury retail, consumer trends and product performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
  • Proactive, curious and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Previous experience in Planning, Merchandising, Buying, Allocation or a similar retail analytical role preferred.
