Michael Jones Architects is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London. We are a medium-sized, award-winning, RIBA chartered architectural practice with a diverse portfolio that includes high-end private houses, listed building restorations, churches and nursery schools. As a forward-thinking studio, we are committed to delivering thoughtful, high-quality architecture and a premium service for our clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain hands‑on experience across all stages of architectural projects, from concept design through to completion on site. From the outset, successful candidates will be given a high level of responsibility appropriate to their experience and will play an active role in both the design and technical development of projects. The breadth of work and level of exposure offered provides an excellent foundation for professional development towards Part III and beyond.
Successful applicants should:
- hold a 1st or 2:1 master’s degree/diploma (or equivalent)
- have the right to work in the UK
- have UK practice experience, ideally within the high-end residential sector
- demonstrate strong design, technical and detailing abilities
- be confident working both independently and collaboratively within a team
- possess good hand‑drawing skills (preferred, but not essential)

Our studio is located approximately five minutes’ walk from Richmond station. We have a strong team culture and social ethos, including annual trips away, sports activities, office lunches and Friday drinks.
