We are currently seeking a Junior–Mid Level Business Analyst to join a highly respected insurance organisation in London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong business analysis fundamentals, a highly analytical mindset, and a genuine interest in working within a structured delivery environment.
The role sits within a delivery-focused team operating in an offshore delivery model, meaning strong documentation capability, clear requirement capture, and the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams are absolutely essential.
This position would suit a Business Analyst with approximately 2–4 years’ experience who is comfortable operating in technical environments and enjoys working closely with developers, solution architects, testers, and data-focused teams.
Key Responsibilities- Elicit, analyse, document and manage business requirements clearly and accurately
- Produce high-quality functional and business documentation aligned to delivery governance standards
- Break down business problems into logical, structured components and translate them into actionable outputs
- Work closely with offshore development and delivery teams, ensuring documentation and requirements are clear and complete
- Support solution design and delivery activities alongside architects, developers, testers and project stakeholders
- Assist with data analysis, data validation and sense-checking outputs and reports
- Contribute to delivery within a predominantly waterfall environment
- Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Support delivery governance processes including documentation-related entry/exit criteria
- Proven Business Analysis experience within technology or change environments
- Strong documentation and requirements gathering capability is essential
- Experience producing functional specifications, process flows, user stories, BRDs or similar delivery documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-focused mindset
- Experience working alongside development, QA and architecture teams
- Ability to work within structured delivery methodologies and governance frameworks
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Comfortable operating within offshore/onshore delivery models
- Insurance or London Market experience
- Exposure to data, reporting, data warehousing or analytics-focused projects
- Experience working in technical delivery environments
- Understanding of waterfall delivery methodologies
- Strong hands-on SQL experience
- Exposure to AI automation initiatives within recent roles
This role is particularly well suited to candidates who combine strong business analysis and documentation skills with exposure to data-focused environments. While London Market experience is beneficial, the hiring manager is equally interested in candidates with the right delivery discipline, analytical capability and willingness to learn.
Candidates without London Market experience will be expected to complete the LM1 qualification within their first year. The team is highly supportive and committed to developing individuals long term within the organisation.
