We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our London-based Cyber Security team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a highly visible role within a global organisation undergoing a large-scale digital transformation , where you’ll help shape and strengthen security capabilities across Europe.

This role will suit someone with strong technical expertise in security engineering, architecture, and tooling , combined with the ability to influence stakeholders in a regulated, high-demand environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Security Engineer , you will:

  • Lead the implementation and integration of cyber security infrastructure, tooling, and controls across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in application security, cloud security, cryptography, and infrastructure hardening.
  • Partner with IT, digital, and business change teams to ensure secure-by-design principles are embedded across all projects.
  • Perform and oversee penetration testing and vulnerability management , driving remediation and risk reduction.
  • Support incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, standards, and playbooks .
  • Contribute to strategic security initiatives led by the CISO, influencing direction across the global organisation.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, tools, and technologies , recommending proactive improvements.

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for a hands-on security professional with the following:

  • Strong experience in cyber security engineering within regulated sectors such as Insurance, Financial Services, or Legal.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of:
  • Microsoft 365 Security, Windows, and Active Directory
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and associated security tooling
  • Security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, SIEM, endpoint detection, vulnerability scanners)
  • Proven experience delivering secure project outcomes across digital transformation programmes.
  • Ability to analyse and communicate complex security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (desirable but not essential): CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer .
