Strategic Consultant | Legal Technology | London

I’m working on an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Consultant to join a global legal technology business, working at the intersection of legal, technology, consulting and business transformation.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a legal background who has moved into legal technology, consulting, transformation or business analysis and wants to operate as a strategic advisor to leading law firms and legal organisations.

The role will sit within a global Business Innovation team, helping customers and internal teams understand how technology can transform the way legal work is delivered.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Advising law firms and senior stakeholders on legal technology strategy
  • Leading discovery, design and requirements workshops
  • Developing consulting frameworks, best practice and scalable approaches
  • Supporting legal technology implementations and adoption programmes
  • Business process mapping, change management and information/data architecture
  • Delivering product demonstrations and building business cases
  • Supporting UAT, knowledge transfer and client-facing deliverables
  • Working closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Professional Services and Customer Success
  • Helping shape future product roadmaps through customer and market insight
  • Staying ahead of the LegalTech, AI and wider legal transformation landscape
  • Mentoring and developing junior consultants

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years' experience as a lawyer or 5+ years' experience working within a legal environment
  • Strong understanding of the legal technology landscape
  • Experience working with law firms or professional services organisations
  • Strong business analysis, discovery and workshop facilitation skills
  • Experience with process mapping, requirements gathering and design methodologies
  • Previous involvement in implementing legal technology solutions such as document management, knowledge management, eDiscovery, contract automation or legal AI
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills

This isn't a traditional consulting role. You’ll become a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, helping organisations understand not just what technology can do, but how it should actually be used by lawyers and legal teams to deliver better outcomes.

Direct experience with iManage would be advantageous, as would experience delivering legal AI adoption or transformation programmes.
