What You'll Be Doing

In this critical role, you will support the Head of IFRS17 in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the IFRS17 team, covering both IFRS17 Operations and Reporting. Your strong technical expertise and practical experience in IFRS17 financial reporting within a general insurance environment will be instrumental in optimizing processes and collaborating with key departments such as Actuarial.

With the confidence and credibility to engage senior stakeholders, you will also play a key role in finance-related projects, including finance modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the production of quarterly and annual IFRS17 financial results for Brit Group Ltd, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
• Manage the preparation and submission of IFRS17 components within the OneStream reporting package.
• Provide clear and detailed explanations of IFRS17 results, including quarter-on-quarter movements and benchmarking against industry peers.
• Offer expert technical guidance on all aspects of IFRS17 accounting, supporting the business with insights and best practices.

What You'll Bring:

• A qualified accountant (eg, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience in the general insurance industry.
• A proven track record of delivering high-quality financial reporting within strict deadlines.
• Strong technical expertise in IFRS17, with hands-on experience in its application to financial reporting.
• Proficiency in IT systems, including experience in general ledger and consolidation software.
• The ability to develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
