Project description: The new “Energy Asset Supplier Strategy” department aims to maximize the value of the Energy Assets through our strategic suppliers by way of contract negotiations, supplier performance management and relationship management.
With a planned project duration from now until approximately middle of 2026 the Energy Asset Supplier Strategy department plans to set up a new structure, processes and products in order to meet all customer’s requirements in a lean and cost-efficient way.
Task (performed independently):
– Analysis of the as-is situation of key stakeholders (list will be provided by the client in advance) in regards to the strategic suppliers in Energy Assets by taking into consideration the project requirements based on own professional knowledge and experience.
This includes:
– Assessment as to which departments and roles talk to the top strategic suppliers at the moment and regarding what topics, in order to set up a new structure for strategic meetings with the top strategic suppliers and identify who needs to be invited to which level of strategic and tactical meeting and who needs to be informed about the outcome
– In this context, creation of a proposal for a future structure of governance meetings (focus on strategic and tactical) with the top strategic suppliers based on the analysis results and own expertise
– Documentation of the results of the assessment in written form and handing over of a proposal to the Energy Asset Supplier Strategy department for a sign-off and further use
-Professional consultation of the Head of the Energy Asset Supplier Strategy department in the set-up of the new structure, processes, and products for the new department. This includes the provision of best practices from other companies and a proposal for a setup based on the analysis done as described above.
– Creation of a proposal for an information repository containing all relevant information regarding the top strategic suppliers based on own professional evaluation and expertise. This includes what data the department wants to share and with whom.
– Documentation and handing over of the final proposal for sign-off and further use.
Clear appearance as an external consultant of the client whenever interacting with external parties.
