We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to deliver independent, outcome-based services for the development and optimization of Azure data pipelines, reporting solutions, and workflow automation. The consultant works autonomously using their own methods and tools.
Engagement Phases
- Q1 – Knowledge Transfer: Independent familiarization with existing landscape.
- Q2 onward – Service Delivery: Execution of defined outcomes.
Data Pipelines & Integration
- Build and maintain Azure Data Factory ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Integrate structured/unstructured data into Azure SQL.
- Monitor and optimize pipeline performance.
Data Visualization & Reporting
- Develop and improve Power BI datasets and dashboards.
- Apply strong DAX, Power Query, and data modelling practices.
- Define reporting requirements from stakeholder inputs.
Workflow Automation
- Create and maintain Logic Apps and Power Automate workflows.
- Implement monitoring, alerts, and error-handling.
Development & Deployment
- Use Azure DevOps for Git, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture, and runbooks.
- Apply secure development practices (RBAC, Key Vault, service principals).
Governance & Delivery
- Provide monthly progress and deliverable reviews.
- Ensure documentation meets agreed technical standards.
