Working in partnership with the Police, Insurers and Government our collective aim is to make it a thing of the past but, until that\’s accomplished, we\’re here to compensate victims quickly, fairly and compassionately.
Last year we helped more than 42,000 people struck by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers and paid over £400 million in compensation to support victims rebuild their lives.
The purpose of our Senior Finance Business Partner role is to provide timely, accurate and incisive financial/management information to key stakeholders to enable decision-making. In addition you will produce and continue to improve monthly CFO Packs, forecasts and budgets as well as supporting teams across the whole of MIB through finance business partnering and championing financial learning and development.
Key Outputs
- Deputise for Financial Controller in FP&A and Finance Business Partnering matters, as required.
- Attend and present at meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including preparation of all necessary papers, as required.
- Finance Business Partner responsibility for BAU Change, Tech and Customer Services, including provision of guidance to Change and Projects teams in respect of technical or complex accounting matters, supplier cost management, etc.
- Establish and implement appropriate controls and monitoring systems to drive continuous improvement to quality and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities and implement solutions to drive increased automation of financial processes, to improve process efficiency and prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
- Support, coach, mentor and motivate the Assistant Finance Business Partner providing practical day-to-day feedback and advice, and supporting professional development.
- Act as a Learning and Development champion for Finance to drive continuous technical development of the finance team, and drive increased financial capability and commercial awareness in the wider organisation.
- Work closely with ExCo members in a finance business partner capacity, embedded into relevant business areas.

Skills and Knowledge
- Experienced FBP who is confident managing relationships and challenging stakeholders at the most senior levels (ExCo and Board)
- Professional Accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA level 6, CIMA level 6 Advanced Dimploma in Management Accounting or equivalent)
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Experience of mentoring and supporting development of colleagues
- Experience of working with Change and Projects (desirable)
- Experience of developing and delivering finance for non-finance learning programmes (desirable)
Salary £62,000 per annum
Grade 13
35 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
