The Role
We are looking for an Event Manager to join our Event Management Team. This role involves overseeing the planning and execution of large-scale B2B events and developing and maintaining relationships with high-profile event partners and external stakeholders.
You’ll join our growing team of experienced, passionate people who have delivered hundreds of events worldwide and who bring creativity, precision and purpose to everything we do. This is a Permanent (Full‑Time) opportunity reporting to the Director of Event Management.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of assigned events, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Plan, coordinate and execute large-scale events from inception through to completion, maintaining ownership of timelines and key deliverables.
- Manage and track event budgets, monitoring spend, highlighting risks, and identifying opportunities to support cost efficiencies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives, ensuring alignment between operational delivery and overall event goals.
- Coordinate with event partners and suppliers, ensuring all event logistics are delivered efficiently and to agreed standards.
- Liaise with the Customer Experience team to ensure all operational details are accurate, aligned, and clearly communicated to clients.
- Supervise onsite logistics, including setup, live coordination and teardown, ensuring smooth execution.
- Act as the operational point of contact onsite, managing stakeholders and escalating complex issues as required.
- Conduct destination research and support the identification and shortlisting of suitable venues and partners.
- Assist in negotiations with event partners, sponsors and suppliers, supporting favourable commercial outcomes.
- Apply event health & safety and operational guidelines, ensuring delivery aligns with company standards.
Due to the nature of our work, you may occasionally be required to work outside standard hours to attend and support our events or meet key deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning.
- End-to-end full cycle event management experience.
- Proven track record of managing international events.
- Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organisational, time management and attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working with tight deadlines and with changing requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or professional qualification in Event Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or a related field.
- Experience within the MICE industry or luxury travel sector, with a solid understanding of the hosted buyer model and B2B event formats.
- Proven experience delivering events in international destinations, particularly across Europe, the Middle East, or the Americas.
- Demonstrated knowledge of supplier and venue contract negotiation, ideally within a hospitality or travel context.
- Track record of managing event budgets of £500,000 or above.
- Additional language skills are advantageous, given the international nature of our portfolio.
- Experience working with Salesforce.
- Proficiency in cloud collaboration tools such as Airtable.
