About the Role
Our client is an established member-based organization offering advice and solutions to private listed property owners in the UK. They provide high-quality insurance service designed to support the needs of listed property owners. They are looking for highly motivated, experienced Insurance Brokers/Underwriters who want to develop their career within a fast-growing business. The ideal candidate must possess a positive attitude and self-discipline to deliver personal objectives while also demonstrating a team working attitude to meet overall business targets.
Responsibilities
- Providing an excellent level of service to clients on enquiries, new business quotations, MTA’s and renewals
- Building relationships with key clients and insurer partners
- Handling all enquiries in a professional manner and in line with service standards and regulatory requirements
- Recording all relevant information, correspondence and documentation on Acturis system and making effective use of the diary system
- Underwriting large household risks up to your individual underwriting authority
- Contributing to, and working with the wider team, in achieving the business plan including conversion, retention, revenue and loss ratio objectives
Requirements
- Good level of school or university education
- 2 years’ experience in Household and Personal Lines, ideally in Non-standard and HNW
- Experience of working with Acturis is desired but not essential
- Good level of technical insurance skills
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Good negotiation and broking skills
- Ability to identify and respond appropriately to an individual client’s level of understanding
