What you'll be doing:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive real efficiencies and savings across the business.
- Ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023/Procurement Regulations 2024 whilst embedding best practice throughout the organisation.
- Providing expert procurement advice across diverse procurement activities.
- Overseeing complex tendering processes from start to finish.
- Presenting procurement strategies directly to senior leadership and the Board.
- Championing continuous improvement within purchase-to-pay processes.
- Developing comprehensive procurement training programmes.
- Managing critical stakeholder relationships across the business.
- Leading and developing your team of four procurement professionals.
What you'll bring:
- Significant procurement and contract management experience, ideally gained within the public or regulated sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Procurement Regulations 2024 and public sector procurement frameworks.
- A proven track record of delivering commercial value, efficiencies and cost savings.
- Experience leading complex tender exercises and managing contract performance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership teams and Boards.
- Hands-on experience with e-procurement systems and purchase-to-pay processes.
- Previous people management experience with ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
