Overview

We’re looking for an Asbestos Compliance Contracts Manager to manage our asbestos contractors and consultants.

You’ll be the lead in making sure that mhs homes complies with the Control of Asbestos Regulations and that the asbestos arrangements allow other teams to deliver their projects and works. You’ll need to have a thorough understanding of CAR 2012 and be able to provide guidance to others on what the regulations may mean to them. Colleagues and customers will need information on how and why we manage asbestos, and you’ll be the person that they come to for answers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of asbestos contractors and consultants to ensure compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR 2012).
  • Ensure asbestos arrangements allow other teams to deliver projects and works.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues on regulatory requirements and interpretations of the regulations.
  • Communicate with colleagues and customers about how and why we manage asbestos, and be the point of contact for related inquiries.

Essential criteria / Qualifications

  • Completed or working towards the P405 BOHS Management of Asbestos in Buildings.
  • Strong contract management skills.
  • A track record of great collaborative working with other colleagues.
  • A strong customer focus.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
