We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our Communications and Engagement Function within the Enablement group, based in 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London. The position is full‑time, permanent, and requires a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 8 to 12 days per month on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope, write, edit, produce and publish organic and paid content across all social media channels.
  • Manage agency social media accounts and advise staff and senior leaders on organic and targeted paid strategies.
  • Develop and execute proactive and reactive media and social media strategies, embedding social media in all communication plans.
  • Collaborate with influencers, stakeholders and government partners to amplify messaging.
  • Create and commission visual and creative assets such as videos, images, infographics to support online events, podcasts, live chats, broadcasts, blogs and Tweets.
  • Use data and analytics to test, learn and optimise social media performance.

Person Specification

Experience Criteria

  • 3+ years of experience in developing, executing, and evaluating organic and paid social media activities.
  • Experience working in a busy press office with traditional media and rapid response to breaking news.

Technical Criteria

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong ability to produce engaging, accessible content.
  • Proficient in using content management systems and familiar with accessibility and usability requirements.
