Location: 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London, E14 4PU.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in determining when a product falls within the legal definition of a medicinal product and take appropriate action to bring it into compliance with medicines legislation.
- Assist in determining when a product falls within the legal definition of a medical device, its appropriate risk classification, and support the Devices Compliance team in bringing products into compliance with medical device legislation.
- Develop an understanding of regulatory areas bordering on medicinal products or medical devices and the impact of case law on the classification of borderline products.
- Triage enquiries and complaints received in the Borderline inbox, allocate complex and urgent requests to SEOs, create SharePoint records for non‑urgent cases, and send acknowledgements where required.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communicator – verbal, written and presentational – able to represent the Agency at all levels including external UK and international forums.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build relationships and work successfully in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proven ability to gather, interpret and analyse information necessary for decisions on the status of products.
- Working knowledge of medicines, medical device, food, cosmetics or advertising regulations.
