Your career: MHR is offering an exciting opportunity for a Principal QA Engineer to join one of our innovative software delivery teams. This is a fantastic time to join, we have ambitious plans to grow our market leading HR and Payroll SaaS solution and are revising our quality and test automation strategy to match.
Your team: It’s a great opportunity to help shape software quality and test automation for a large engineering department, and see your own skills and experience develop rapidly. Our teams operate using Agile development practices, we promote collaboration, continuous improvement and self-development. We also have an established, supportive, and welcoming QA community.
Your Impact: You will lead and influence delivery-team quality and test engineering decisions, designing and optimising test automation for complex systems while raising the overall standard of QA engineering. Drive technology choices that enable fast-paced, high-quality delivery, ensuring quality practices scale effectively alongside the product and engineering organisation.
- Experience using an object-oriented software language
- Experience using version control tools, branching strategies, following and improving coding standards
- At least 3 years’ experience designing, developing and managing test automation frameworks for DevOps Pipelines for a range of testing problems: UI, API, Functionality, Performance, Usability, Reliability, Compatibility
- Expertise in designing Functional test strategies including entire applications and sub-components e.g. APIs
- Technical leadership experience: contributing to and managing standards, patterns and best practice at a community level; engaging in the technical development of others
- Experience testing decoupled or asynchronous application architecture e.g. event/message driven
- Playwright, Typescript, K6 (key elements of our testing frameworks)
- Software Engineering experience e.g. contributing to feature development in a fungible agile team
