Your Career

As a Software Engineering Manager at MHR, you'll lead a cross-functional team of Software Engineers and Test Engineers, helping build the next generation of our cloud-based HR, Payroll and Finance platform.

You'll combine people leadership with technical influence, fostering a culture of engineering excellence, test-driven development and continuous improvement.

Working with modern technologies including .

NET, Angular, Azure and AI-assisted development tools, you'll help shape how software is built while supporting the growth and success of your team.

Your Team

You’ll lead a collaborative Agile team of engineers and testers, working closely with Product and Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software.

The Finance product function is lean by design at this stage.

You will not be joining a large, established team with mature processes and infrastructure around you.

You will be joining a small, focused group building something new - which means more ambiguity, more ownership and more impact than most product roles can offer.

The function is being structured around a clear operating model.

Product Managers own discovery, strategy and outcomes, while Product Owners own delivery.

That separation is deliberate and enables the Product Manager role to remain genuinely strategic, rather than becoming a disguised backlog management position.

Your Impact

You’ll be responsible for building high-performing teams, improving engineering practices and ensuring the delivery of scalable, maintainable software.

Through coaching, mentoring and technical leadership, you’ll help shape both our products and our engineering culture.

You will also have the opportunity to help shape how the Finance product function operates from an early stage, contribute to important product decisions, build ways of working that can scale and help bring a new product to market - seeing the direct impact of your work.

• What You’ll Be Doing
• Lead, coach and develop a cross-functional engineering team.
• Drive a culture of quality, test-driven development and continuous improvement.
• Support the delivery of scalable, maintainable software and architecture.
• Partner with Product and Scrum teams to deliver against product roadmaps.
• Remove delivery obstacles and improve team effectiveness.
• Support recruitment, talent development and succession planning.
• Champion AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity and quality.
• What We’re Looking For
• Experience leading or mentoring software engineers within Agile teams.
• Strong software engineering background
• Passion for engineering excellence, code quality and test-driven development.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and high-performing teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Interest in modern engineering practices, cloud technologies and AI-assisted development.
