Your Team
You’ll lead and support a high-performing Project Management Office, setting clear operational goals, KPIs, and team objectives to drive success. Alongside overseeing the day-to-day running of the service unit — including customers, implementations, services, revenue, quality, and performance — you’ll ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience across all PMO activity, supported by regular audit and monitoring.
You’ll act as a senior escalation point for customers, stepping in to resolve complex challenges and initiating remedial actions where needed to maintain service excellence. At the same time, you’ll build and develop a strong, capable team, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to your direct reports. Through effective induction, mentoring, training, and performance management, you’ll create an environment where your people can thrive and consistently deliver their best work.
Your Career
This role offers the opportunity to shape and evolve the Project Management Office, executing the vision and strategy set by the Chief Operating Officer. You’ll contribute to the strategic development of the division and its services, ensuring operational delivery aligns with wider business objectives and growth plans.
You’ll play a key role in advancing the Project Management and Consultancy Delivery Methodology, strengthening governance frameworks and embedding best practice across the organisation. With responsibility for board-level reporting, operational updates, and performance insights, you’ll gain strong exposure to senior leadership while influencing key decisions. This is a position where you can broaden your impact, operate at a more strategic level, and help define the future direction of the PMO.
Your Impact
You’ll establish and embed a standardised project and programme governance model across the organisation, ensuring consistency across portfolios, programmes, and projects. By defining and enforcing PMO standards, methodologies and templates such as stage gates, RAID management, and reporting, you’ll create a robust framework for successful delivery.
You’ll set minimum control requirements across all projects, including business case approval, change control, and benefits tracking, while actively monitoring adherence to governance standards. Where gaps or risks are identified, you’ll take action to address non-compliance and continuously improve the effectiveness of governance processes.
Alongside governance, you’ll drive operational performance, ensuring quality targets are met, revenue plans are delivered, and short, medium and long-term planning is in place. Through clear reporting, operational meetings and board submissions, you’ll provide visibility and insight that supports informed decision-making. Ultimately, your work will elevate PMO capability, enhance customer experience, and deliver world‑class project and consultancy outcomes that strengthen MHR’s reputation.
