Role overview
We're looking for a talented Junior Editor & Motion Designer to join Studio La Plage and help craft exceptional films, social content and animated campaigns for some of the world's leading brands, as part of the award-winning integrated communications agency MHP Group.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who's passionate about storytelling, editing and motion design.
You'll work closely with our creative team, helping shape films from the first assembly through to final delivery, while creating engaging motion graphics and animations that elevate our work across every platform.
You'll support projects ranging from documentary films and branded content to social campaigns, digital experiences and pitch work, learning from an experienced team while developing your own creative voice.
Working across a broad range of clients including Coca-Cola, HSBC, Harry Potter, E.
ON and many more, you'll play an important role in bringing ideas to life through thoughtful editing, strong motion craft and a genuine passion for storytelling.
Ultimately, we're looking for someone who's naturally curious, creatively ambitious and excited to grow with the studio.
What You'll Do
- Editing
- Edit branded films, social content, case studies and campaign assets across a variety of formats.
- Assemble rushes, develop edits and refine films through feedback rounds alongside our lead editor
- Help shape pacing, narrative and emotional storytelling.
- Prepare projects for colour, sound mix and final delivery.
- Organise media, project files and edit workflows to a high professional standard.
- Motion Design & Animation
- Create motion graphics and animated assets across social, digital and film projects.
- Animate typography, graphics and visual identities using After Effects.
- Bring presentations, pitch work and campaign assets to life through thoughtful motion.
- Collaborate with designers to translate static layouts into engaging animations.
- Explore new techniques and approaches that help raise the creative standard of our work.
- Creative Collaboration
- Work alongside creatives, designers, strategists and producers and our in-house film lead throughout projects.
- Contribute ideas during creative development and post-production.
- Support on presentations, internal initiatives and new business opportunities.
- Stay curious about emerging trends, techniques and creative technology while helping push the studio's craft forward.

Who You Are
- We're open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, but you'll likely bring:
- Around 1 to 2 years' experience in an editing, motion design or post-production role, either through agency-side, internships, freelance or through graduate projects.
- Strong editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and motion design principles.
- An eye for pacing, composition and visual storytelling.
- Confidence working across a variety of formats, from social-first content through to longer-form films.
- A genuine interest in documentary storytelling, craft and contemporary visual culture.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to take feedback positively and continuously develop your work.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working closely with multidisciplinary creative teams.
- A portfolio that demonstrates creativity, curiosity and potential, even if it's built from personal projects.
- Nice To Have
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Basic design skills and an understanding of typography and layout.
- Passion for photography and filmmaking
- On-set experience
- Knowledge of colour workflows, sound editing or grading.
- Experience creating content for social platforms.
