We are looking for an outstanding Account Director to join our Brand and Reputation team, which is fast‑paced and focused on ambitious growth. This person will have experience in campaigns that give national profile to organisations and positively impact perceptions among corporate and consumer audiences. An agency background is preferred, and candidates must bring tenacity, enthusiasm, curiosity and fun.

Account Director Responsibilities

  • Lead the day‑to‑day portfolio of corporate PR accounts for clients across a variety of industries, including financial & professional services, energy & infrastructure, FMCG, public sector and B2B technology.
  • Advise and guide clients on complex corporate issues, including ESG, regulation and emerging consumer trends.
  • Provide ongoing counsel to senior‑level clients, from PR Managers and Directors of Communications to CMOs and CEOs.
  • Lead integrated client teams to deliver campaigns that reach a variety of corporate audiences and stakeholders.
  • Instill best‑practice client management across the team; take responsibility for building relationships with senior client contacts.
  • Develop and oversee content for thought‑leadership campaigns across earned, owned and social channels.
  • Identify and respond to opportunities for organic growth across the client base.
  • Lead small to medium‑sized new business pitches and support on bigger pieces.
  • Ensure best‑in‑class measurement techniques are deployed to demonstrate the value of our work.
  • Oversee the quality of the team’s written output: press releases, media comment, opinion pieces, proposals, etc.
  • Lead by example: inspire junior team members by bringing the outside in, staying aware of developments and activity within the communications industry.
  • Undertake responsibilities as a senior member of the Brand & Reputation team, including development of marketing collateral to promote the practice.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive experience working on large, issue‑led campaigns, ideally with international exposure.
  • Ability to lead accounts, oversee teams, and manage servicing and contract commitments.
  • Confidence, calmness and clarity when counselling client contacts from PR Managers to CEOs.
  • Deep media knowledge: a thorough understanding of the media and influencer landscape plus an impressive list of contacts.
  • Digital fluency: experience devising and selling social/digital activations as part of a campaign.
  • Highly organised: able to run busy accounts and ensure effective delivery by the team.
  • Strong writing skills: skilled at writing client proposals, opinion pieces and new‑business pitches.
  • Creative risk‑taker: not afraid to try something new.
  • Team player: excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of fun at work.
  • Excellent time‑management and multitasking, with an eye for detail and a passion for news, culture and current affairs.
