Test Execution & Integration
- Execution of manual tests for Connected Car Services on test benches and test vehicles (onsite)
- Execution of test and integration activities across vehicle, backend, and mobile app
- Analysis of test results including tracing, log file analysis, and bug reproduction
- Support of re-tests after bug fixes and software deployments
Test Benches & Vehicle Preparation
- Preparation of test benches for test activities
- Setup of new test benches from individual components, including verification of all electrical and logical connections
- Flashing and updating control units (e.g. HCP3 / HCP4 / HCP5) on bench level
- Coding of HCP3 via the Green Engineering Menu
- Maintenance and servicing of existing bench setups, including IDEX/PIDT handling
Vehicle Preparation & ECU Handling
- Preparation of test vehicles for software and functional tests
- Update, flashing, and coding of control units (e.g. HCP3 / HCP4 / HCP5) directly in the vehicle
- Alignment of ECU software versions between vehicle and bench setup
- Execution of ECU updates in the vehicle analogous to the bench setup
- Ensuring correct vehicle and software configurations for test campaigns
Test Management & Documentation
- Documentation of test results in JIRA (Xray) and Confluence
- Creation of structured test reports including software versions, configurations, and deviations
- Management of logs, traces, screenshots, and IDEX files
- Defect management via JIRA / KPM including tracking through to resolution
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- 2–5 years’ experience in Engineering / Connected Car Services / Vehicle Technology & Testing
- Availability to travel 2 times / week at the client's office in Crewe
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Strong problem‑solving and structured thinking skills
- Experience working with automotive clients or stakeholders
- Ability to manage workstreams and deliver outputs independently
- Basic understanding of internet protocols, network settings and connectivity in general
Desirable
- Experience within consulting and / or automotive sector
