We are seeking a diligent and physically fit Storesperson to join our clients team. This is a day shift position based at their facility, where you will manage the efficiency and security of the stockroom and yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate logging and control of all materials, ensuring that the technical and trade teams have the parts they need to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
About the Client: Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of innovative HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and fluid-flow solutions. They specialise in high-efficiency energy systems, pumping technology, and fire safety equipment for a wide range of applications, including large-scale data centres, commercial buildings, and district energy projects. Their mission is to provide sustainable, intelligent system integration that minimises energy waste and maximises performance.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Stock Logging & Control: Implement and maintain a rigorous system for stock logging (in and out) of all materials, parts, and equipment. Process all goods-in, verifying quantities against delivery notes and ensuring correct storage. Maintain high levels of data accuracy within the stock management system.
- Stock Taking: Conduct regular physical stock checks and full audits to reconcile physical levels with system records. Investigate and report discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Ensure all stock is clearly labelled, catalogued, and stored safely.
- Material Support & Logistics: Efficiently pick and kit items requested by on-site and workshop tradespeople. Prepare and load materials for dispatch to on-site teams, ensuring correct documentation. Operate a forklift to move materials safely and maintain an organised yard environment.
- General Labouring: Undertake general labouring and yard duties, including keeping the area tidy and moving heavy materials. Assist with the loading and unloading of site returns and other ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Operations Manager.
Required Skills & Experience
- FLT Licence: Must hold a valid, current Forklift Truck licence.
- Shift Pattern: Ability to work a consistent day shift schedule.
- Experience: Proven experience working in a stores, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Stock Management: Demonstrable ability to maintain accurate records and perform physical audits.
- Physical Fitness: Physically capable of manual handling and fulfilling general labouring duties.
