We’re looking for a VAT Manager who thrives in a people-focused environment and sees challenges as opportunities for growth. What We’re Looking For

  • The ability to provide high quality, practical, commercial advice on complex VAT and other indirect tax issues to a wide range of clients including owner managed businesses, listed businesses and multinational companies.
  • Being able to identify opportunities for VAT services and promote them with both colleagues and clients, linking in with carrying out business development initiatives for existing and new clients. Develop relationships with intermediaries and other relevant external parties is crucial in this role.
  • The ability to write articles for newsletters and press releases would be beneficial.
  • Managing VAT projects to ensure efficient and effective delivery to deadlines and within budget, as well as managing HMRC enquiries, assisting with ADRs, preparing cases for First-tier Tribunal.
  • Dealing with all VAT and indirect tax aspects of company acquisitions and disposals, as well as delivering internal and client presentations.
  • Keeping up to date with technical developments and providing updates to clients and colleagues.
  • Supporting junior team members whilst delegating and reviewing their work, being able to highlight and feedback areas for improvement in a constructive manner. This is in addition to the general management of the team including people management, appraisals, billing etc.
