Purpose of the role
To lead on the technical training of our Audit & Accounting staff across MHA.
Main Responsibilities
- Contributing to the technical training strategy for qualified audit and accounts partners and staff
- Managing the implementation of the technical training strategy
- Incorporating feedback from regulatory reviews and internal file reviews
- Writing and presenting training sessions in conjunction with other members of the technical team and wider audit practice
- Facilitating the weekly technical training, including planning of topics and sourcing presenters
- Chairing the audit L&D panel
- Liaising with other members of the technical team, including the audit quality, audit methodology and client services functions, to understand training needs
- Developing the annual training plan for qualified audit and accounts partners and staff
- Liaising with the L&D teams in the firm and at Baker Tilly International
- Managing technical training content on the firm's learning management system
Person spec
- ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent
- At least 2 years' post-qualification experience
- Experience in a training or L&D environment
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships and also to use own initiative
