We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be a proactive and experienced Senior Supervisor working on key operational workstreams including Private Leakage, Lead Renewal, New Connections, and Reactive Metering. You’ll manage and coach a team of Field Supervisors, ensuring safe, efficient delivery and exceptional customer service. Acting as the area expert and escalation point for complex issues, you’ll drive performance, resolve challenges, and promote a high‑performance culture.
You’ll champion Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, conduct site audits, and maintain high workmanship quality. Commercially minded, you’ll monitor financial performance, optimise resource use, and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies. Regular one‑to‑one and team meetings will support development, set clear objectives, and ensure compliance.
This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement. You’ll track key metrics including CSAT and Net Promoter Score, using feedback to enhance service delivery. You’ll also handle escalated customer complaints professionally, ensuring swift resolution and satisfaction.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a Supervisory or Senior Supervisory role, preferably within a utility, field service, or technically complex operations environment.
- Demonstrable track record of leading and developing teams to achieve demanding operational and commercial targets.
- Strong understanding of field service operations, scheduling, and logistics. Experience with the specific work streams (Leakage, New Connections, Metering) is highly desirable.
- Excellent Health and Safety knowledge and a personal commitment to safe working practices.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse financial data (e.g., Cost Value Reports) and use it to drive business decisions.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with field teams, senior management, and customers.
