Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our Clean Water Capital Delivery Team - Our teams deliver various schemes from Mains Renewal, Diversions and PMVs all in aid of supporting the UU clean water network.
What will you be doing?
- You will oversee a variety of clean water projects including slip line, open cut, Pipe bursting, upgrading and sustaining the water Network.
- Safety is our license to operate! You’ll champion health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Lead and manage clean water projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all projects, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements.
- Interpret and review project design drawings, challenging designs where necessary to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, ensuring the use of tools like Microsoft Project (or similar) to track progress.
What you’ll bring
- Knowledge of SHE
- Valid UK driving licence
- SMSTS or Equivalent
- Understanding of the water network and different techniques required to deliver mains renewal schemes
- Experience in delivering high volume mains renewal schemes
- Knowledge in NEC contracts
