An established engineering and surveying consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Utility Surveyor to support a growing workload across infrastructure, construction and development projects nationwide. This is a hybrid position combining home working, site visits and occasional office attendance, offering long-term stability and progression.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality PAS 128 compliant utility surveys while supporting project delivery and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering detailed PAS 128 utility surveys to a high technical standard
  • Operating electromagnetic locators, GPR systems, GPS and total stations
  • Post-processing survey data for accurate CAD outputs
  • Interpreting records, drawings and mapping information
  • Undertaking on-site problem solving and technical troubleshooting
  • Producing clear reports in line with project specifications
  • Carrying out data validation and quality assurance checks
  • Supporting and supervising survey teams when required

Requirements

  • Strong UK experience in Utility Surveying
  • Excellent working knowledge of PAS 128 standards
  • Proven experience with GPR and electromagnetic locating equipment
  • Competent using GPS and total station equipment
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to post-process survey data independently
  • Experience supervising or mentoring site staff
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable (not essential):

  • Experience with N4CE, IQMaps/GRED HD or similar software
  • CCTV survey knowledge
