The Role
Engineering Surveyor required for representing one of the UK’s leading civil engineering consultancies in their search for an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join a prestigious heavy civil engineering project in Wendover, forming a key part of the ongoing HS2 initiative. The project includes earthworks, roadworks, viaducts, and bridges, and is expected to run beyond 2030, offering long-term stability and career progression.
As an Engineering Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering accurate survey data and supporting the successful delivery of the project across multiple work packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting setting out duties across earthworks, structures, and infrastructure
- Performing GNSS surveys and establishing survey control
- Processing as-built survey data and outputs
- Producing accurate drawings and survey documentation for project teams
- Maintaining high standards of quality assurance and accuracy in all survey tasks
- Establishing and verifying primary and secondary control networks
- Liaising with designers and subcontractors to resolve site issues
Requirements
- Valid CSCS card
- Proven experience as an Engineering Surveyor, Setting Out Engineer, or Site Engineer
- A minimum of 4 years experience on heavy civil engineering projects in the UK
- Strong proficiency with modern surveying equipment, preferably Leica or Trimble
- Competence in CAD and data processing
