To act as the central coordinator for all creative and brand work entering the Creative Services function. This role ensures every brief is insight-led, clearly defined, logically prioritised, and resourced efficiently. The Account Manager provides operational discipline, enabling the team to deliver high-quality, compliant creative output that aligns with Life Marketing’s strategic objectives and campaign roadmap.

Key Responsibilities (Strategic & Operational):
  • Manage the full intake lifecycle — from initial request through scoping, clarification, alignment, and approval
  • Challenge and refine briefs to ensure clarity of objectives, target audience, insight, mandatories, channels, timelines, and success metrics
  • Operate as the primary point of contact for Marketing stakeholders, gathering requirements and translating them into actionable work packages
  • Create structured workback schedules, identifying dependencies, risks, and cross-functional touchpoints (Brand, Compliance, Planning & Effectiveness)
  • Run weekly demand planning sessions with Creative Delivery Manager to balance capacity and prioritise against strategic needs
  • Maintain a centralised creative pipeline including SLAs, lead times, status, ownership, and blockers
  • Ensure all briefs meet quality standards and contain required inputs for the Brand and Creative Lead as well as the Designers to deliver high-quality output
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure all required regulatory inputs are captured early, and timelines reflect review cycles
  • Provide proactive communication to stakeholders including status reports, timeline updates, agreed actions, and scope changes
  • Facilitate post-delivery reviews, capturing learnings, performance insights, and opportunities for workflow optimisation
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong project and workflow management, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence and challenge constructively
  • Deep understanding of creative processes, campaign planning cycles, production workflows, and approvals
  • Ability to interpret marketing objectives and translate them into structured briefs
  • Proficiency with workflow/PM tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Jira, Aprimo, Workfront — depending on M&G stack)
  • Strong analytical mindset to evaluate capacity, SLAs, and pipeline performance
Experience:
  • Experience in marketing operations, creative workflow management, or account/project management
  • Background in managing creative, design, or brand delivery workflows preferred
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional marketing teams in a structured environment
  • Evidence of improving processes, SLAs, and stakeholder communication
