Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) is a division within M&G Life with a remit to design and deliver bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to ongoing success and a strong opportunity, the team is adding headcount in a number of areas.
The Role:The Senior Transition Manager is responsible for the end to end transition process including managing individual schemes and development of the transition management processes.
Key Responsibilities for this role:- Responsible for the transition process of buy in schemes into the business and the transition of scheme from buy in to buy out (including attaching DC benefits).
- Management of the data verification / post sales pricing process.
- Own the Matching Adjustment compliance process for allocated schemes.
- Develop and refine the transition process putting in place best in class transition services.
- Participate in external sales presentations and support the Origination team where appropriate.
- Produce and own transition plans with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Act as key internal contact point for all queries relating to the agreed schemes.
- Work with the Operations team to resolve complex queries.
- Negotiation of operational clauses in the contract.
- Own the residual risk due diligence process.
- Support the broader team with new initiatives and propositions.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Financial Services & Insurance knowledge, especially around defined benefit pension de-risking, with profits, longevity swaps and investment solutions (including Defined Contribution investment solutions).
- Experience of due diligence processes and procedures.
- Experience of transitioning data from Pension Schemes to Insurers, Insurer to Insurer transfers and across administration platforms.
- Passion for the customer.
- Pension Technical knowledge desirable.
- Effective written and presentation skills.
- High degree of honesty, integrity and discretion.
