Role Summary
This role sits within the Actuarial Modelling & Valuations Capability team and focuses on advancing quantitative and statistical modelling capabilities.
The role is responsible for developing and enhancing models through the application of advanced analytics, including data science, machine learning, and proxy modelling techniques.
The role combines deep technical expertise with a forward-looking approach to innovation, supporting improvements in model accuracy, efficiency, and insight generation.
It contributes to the evolution of modelling practices by delivering robust, scalable solutions aligned to business priorities.
Alongside technical delivery, the role has significant responsibility for leading a multi-skilled team of actuaries, data scientists, and technical specialists.
It requires strong stakeholder engagement across actuarial, risk, finance, and technology teams to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
Artificial intelligence will be applied as part of a broader modelling toolkit, supporting innovation and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enhancement of quantitative and statistical models, including proxy modelling techniques.
- Manage a multi-disciplinary team of actuaries, data scientists, and technical experts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Apply a range of analytical approaches, including data science and machine learning, to develop and enhance models, designing and implementing scalable modelling solutions to support valuation and reporting processes.
