Experienced Senior Financial Accountant to assist the Finance department with all areas of financial and management accounting and to provide management information, analysis and reporting to stakeholders, both internal and external.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: prepare and review weekly and monthly management information, liaise with Group MI team, prepare papers for group and PMC papers, and other ad‑hoc reporting.
  • Financial Accounting: prepare and review monthly management accounts to final review stage, provide analysis and commentary on results against plan, prepare year‑end statutory accounts, liaise with auditors, ensure accurate and timely accounting information, update the FC/CFO on any issues, and prepare group reporting schedules on a quarterly basis.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: assist with the provision of relevant projections and estimations to enable accurate budget preparation, liaise with Group FP&A team for requested information and analysis.
  • Capital & Liquidity: provide relevant calculations and reporting to enable regular completion of capital forecasts and liquidity requirements.
  • Regulatory Reporting: ensure accurate and timely MI per business needs, monitor FCA due dates, prepare and submit regulatory returns on the FCA RegData system.
  • Risk: understand Risk Appetite statements, control key business risks, test controls, report and investigate Risk Events in accordance with the Risk Event & Escalation process, produce risk reports and maintain control frameworks.
  • People: act as point of contact and support for members of the Accounting and Analysis team, providing leadership.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant at one of the recognised bodies with up to 2 years post‑qualification experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of FCA regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines while maintaining the quality of outputs.
