To support the CHRO and the HRD in the delivery of the Group's HR agenda and to support the design and delivery of assigned client groups' people plans, focussing on 4 core pillars of:

The Role

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you'll work directly with senior leaders, acting as the go-to expert and trusted advisor on a wide range of people issues.

You'll be a key champion for the people agenda, collaborating across the HR function to deliver solutions that drive success.

You'll also empower leadership teams, building their confidence and capability through your guidance, coaching, and strategic insight.

As a trusted partner you will build effective relationships with your stakeholders, and a deep understanding of the people implications and requirements impacting the business strategy, ensuring that both short and longer term requirements are addressed.

You will have a \"seat at the leadership table\", ensure effective delivery of a complex and varied agenda, whilst helping to build an inclusive and progressive culture across your business areas/client groups.

To be successful in this role, you will have a very strong track record in successfully partnering, coaching and influencing senior leaders within your business areas/client groups.

You will have the ability to work autonomously and have deep experience across a broad range of HR disciplines, including organisational design, transformation, culture development, talent and succession management, senior talent acquisition, engagement, and reward.

You will be highly commercial, driven to make a difference and willing to take a proactive, hands-on approach to getting things done, including driving change and improvement in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities for this role

  • Build a deep understanding of the business areas/client groups strategy, business goals and priorities.
  • Partner closely with Leadership teams to develop and implement strategic people and culture initiatives (People Strategy) that support delivery of the business strategy.
  • Coach, support and act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on all people-related matters.
  • Lead the delivery of HR projects/change & transformation initiatives to support delivery of the People Strategy.
  • Develop and provide HR insights and solutions in the delivery of the business strategy and People Strategy, drawing on people data and analytics.
  • Lead the recruitment of senior leadership, working in partnership with the Resourcing team.
  • Proactively use key people metrics (including absence, attrition, hiring, disciplinary, grievances, etc.) to provide insight and solutions to business areas/client groups.
  • Embed talent management across business areas/client groups, support leaders to attract, develop and retain senior talent and build effective succession pipelines, working with the Talent & OE function to input to wider business Talent initiatives.
  • Work with leadership teams to embed a high-performance culture, develop and deliver engagement, and DEI and Wellness approaches, that deliver tangible improvement to the employee experience across business areas/client groups.
  • Lead the implementation of key cyclical HR processes within business areas/client groups, including performance management, pay reviews, Group-wide talent reviews.
  • Facilitate the people aspects of mergers, acquisitions, disposals, etc.
  • Coordinate and work with country HR teams to deliver business outcomes.
  • Provide innovative, informed and pragmatic solutions to a variety of complex HR issues taking full account of internal policies, HR best practice, legislative practice, and equality and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the HR Centres of Expertise (Co E) to ensure they understand the requirements of the business areas/client groups, at all levels.
