Our Training & Competence team plays a critical role in maintaining high-quality, compliant advice across our nationwide adviser network. We're looking for an experienced T&C professional, adviser or paraplanner who enjoys developing people, shaping advice standards and working at the heart of a growing advice business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a portfolio of Advising Partners, ensuring ongoing competence and regulatory alignment.
  • Deliver coaching, challenge and feedback through regular 1-to-1s and structured reviews.
  • Support SM&CR and AR regime requirements, including Fit & Proper and KPI assessments.
  • Identify advice risks, trends and development needs and help drive solutions.
  • Design and deliver engaging training, induction and Academy content.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for technical, regulatory and T&C queries.
  • Support new and developing advisers on their journey to competent adviser status.
  • Contribute to wider projects across advice, AML, vulnerable clients and business change.
  • Understand the intricacies of advice businesses to deliver coaching on where advisers and directors can build stronger and more efficient businesses.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Background in T&C supervision, financial advice or paraplanning.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, or currently working towards achieving it within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Strong knowledge of SM&CR, AR regime, MiFID and PROD.
  • Confident communicator who enjoys coaching, influencing and problem-solving.
  • Comfortable balancing regulatory standards with commercial realities.
  • Resilient, adaptable and motivated by continuous improvement.
  • Desirable: Advanced qualifications, later life or complex advice experience.

Location: Huddersfield, London, Stirling or Edinburgh (hybrid working).
