MGL Group is a well-established, family‑run company founded in 1972, delivering a wide range of services across the construction industry. Due to continued growth and investment, we are seeking an experienced Quarry Labourer to join our team, working across our Glenfin and Fulfordlees sites. As a Quarry Labourer, you will support the safe and efficient day‑to‑day running of the site. This is a hands‑on role where you will assist with general site duties while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general labouring duties across the quarry site
  • Assist plant operators and site supervisors as required
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness
  • Support with loading and movement of materials
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures
  • Assist with basic maintenance and operational tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous labouring experience (quarry, construction, or similar preferred)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and self‑motivated
  • Flexible approach to working hours to meet business needs

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience working within a quarry or recycling environment
  • CPCS / NPORS or other plant‑related qualifications
  • Full UK driving license

About the Job

Hours of work typically involve Monday to Friday working 7.00am – 17.00pm and Saturdays as required. Good rates of pay, overtime and benefits offered with immediate start available. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
