Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Loading Shovel Operator with Weighbridge Cover to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a dual-skilled position, primarily operating a Loading Shovel and supporting general quarry operations, while also providing weighbridge cover as required to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Quarry Loading Shovel safely and efficiently
- Support day-to-day quarry operations (crushing & screening)
- Carry out daily machine checks and defect reporting
- Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards
- Assist with general quarry and labouring duties as required
Weighbridge Cover
- Accurately produce weighbridge tickets for inbound and outbound materials
- Deal professionally with customers, drivers, and hauliers
- Answer phone calls and handle customer enquiries
- Liaise with transport, sales, and production teams
- Maintain accurate records and customer accounts
- Keep the weighbridge office clean and organised
Health & Safety
- Follow all site health & safety procedures
- Ensure PPE compliance for visitors, drivers, and staff
- Report near misses and safety concerns
