MGF are currently seeking a CAD Technician to join a leading Temporary Works Engineering department, based in Astley, Manchester. We have a dynamic team of over 35 Engineers/Technicians from a variety of backgrounds ensuring we have the experience and skills required to provide cost effective solutions. Working in the Design Department, you will report directly to the CAD Manager.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Production of TW's drawings on a day-to-day basis to satisfy customer demand
- Production of in-house manufacturing drawings to meet business demand
- Checking your own and colleagues' drawings
- To produce one-off project work as directed by the Design Manager or Engineers
- Technical support to the Sales Team/Customer (project/non-project related)
- To produce Revit families in line with MGF's product range
The core requirements for this role are:
- BTEC or equivalent in Engineering
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages
- Experience with Revit
- The ability to solve technically challenging problems
- The ability to communicate and hold technical conversations, internally and externally
The following would also be desirable:
- Experience with AutoCAD and Sketchup
- Commercial Awareness
- Technical knowledge and understanding of Temporary Works
