Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate talent reviews and succession planning discussions with senior leaders and HR Business Partners, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Identify critical roles and assess succession risk, creating actionable plans to mitigate gaps and strengthen leadership capability.
- Develop and maintain succession pipelines for senior and critical roles, ensuring readiness and diversity of talent.
- Use talent assessment tools and methodologies to evaluate potential and readiness for leadership roles.
- Provide insights and recommendations to inform leadership development programmes and targeted interventions for successors.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Learning & Development teams to align talent strategies with organisational priorities.
- Monitor and report on talent and succession metrics, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights for decision-making.
- Champion diversity and inclusion in all talent processes, ensuring equitable opportunities for progression.
Key Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Strong understanding of talent management principles, including succession planning and leadership development.
- Previous experience working in a similar role within Financial Services, preferably Asset/Investment Management.
- Experience in facilitating senior‑level talent discussions and influencing outcomes.
- Knowledge of assessment tools and methodologies for evaluating leadership potential.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic insights.
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive culture and equitable talent practices.
Key Measures of Success
- Completion of annual and mid‑year talent reviews across designated business areas.
- Succession plans in place for all identified critical roles, with clear development actions for successors.
- Increased diversity representation within leadership pipelines.
- Improvement in succession readiness metrics (e.g., percentage of roles with at least one ready‑now successor).
- Positive feedback from senior leaders on the quality and impact of talent conversations.
- Accurate and timely reporting of talent and succession data to inform strategic decisions.
