The Role

M&G is seeking a passionate Propositional and Ad‑hoc insight executive to join our insight team. This position supports the Proposition Insight manager to deliver holistic propositional insight for our customer and adviser audiences. This will include journey testing, market sizing, positioning research and naming research. You will play a pivotal role in deepening our understanding of customer needs and appetite for our propositions to ensure that M&G can pursue its growth agenda by putting customers at the heart of what we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the proposition team to plan and deliver research that supports the development of new and existing products.
  • Work with the Propositional Insight Manager to deliver multiple research projects and manage agencies.
  • Work across customers and advisers to deliver holistic propositional insight.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to communicate findings and drive customer‑centred improvements.
  • Champion the customer perspective, ensuring their voice is central to our propositional roadmap.
  • Work closely with insight colleagues to share knowledge and best practice, and foster continuous improvement.
  • Deliver ad‑hoc projects that fall outside the standard propositional work.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in delivering propositional insight either client side or agency side.
  • Experience of both qualitative and quantitative research design.
  • Experience of running multiple projects in sequence.
  • The ability to simplify data and big themes into easily shareable, impactful and actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating insights into impactful business actions.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive attitude, enthusiasm to drive change and support of a culture of continuous improvement.
