These roles form part of an expanding team working to resolve our Notifiable Events and ensure that we deliver the right outcomes for all customers.
Key responsibilities- Working within a project team to support all Actuarial elements of customer calculations Notifiable Events.
- The role requires ability to understand Actuarial calculations based documents and respond to complex technical queries.
- The individual needs to be able to review detailed calculations and translate to a diverse range of individuals, e.g., IT, project managers, actuaries.
- Strong team player, with ability to work in a team or on a project single handed.
- Ability to work under pressure: dynamic, shows resolve and can adapt to evolving situations.
- Good level of interpersonal and networking skills, to develop effective working relationships with team colleagues and internal/external business contacts.
- Ability to confidently express own viewpoint and to clearly and simply communicate actuarial issues within their team.
- Strong problem solving capabilities and to build individual tools for reconciliation of results.
- Seek and act on opportunities to develop technical and business understanding.
- Ability to develop clear, workable plans for self; monitor progress; ensure deadlines and commitments are met.

- A numerical based degree or Post Graduate qualification.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-site team (UK and India).
- Strong communication skills to explain complex solutions to colleagues without Actuarial knowledge.
- Some technical understanding of various tools and techniques used eg: Excel, SQL, Visual Basic, Python, Power BI and or other relevant Actuarial applications.
- Ability to handle big data.
- Track record of being a fast learner as evidenced by job performance (and exam progress for Trainees), with some knowledge of significant regulatory processes within Prudential operations.
- Good knowledge of the Insurance business with ability to understand Actuarial terms and calculations.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
- Good planning and problem solving skills.
- Some experience and knowledge of Actuarial modelling tools like SQL/ Excel VBA/ Python.
