At M&G, our purpose is to give everyone real confidence to put their money to work. With a heritage dating back more than 175 years, we have a long history of innovation in savings and investments, combining asset management and insurance expertise to offer a wide range of solutions. Our two distinct operating segments, Asset Management and Life, work together to provide access to balanced, long-term investment and savings solutions.

Internal Communications and Engagement is a key function within our Corporate Affairs, Brand and Sustainability (CABS) team. Our role is an important one - we help M&G achieve its ambitions by making sure all of our colleagues are crystal clear on what we’re aiming to achieve together, how we want to do it, and what their part is in making it happen.

You’ll primarily work within our Life business and spend a significant amount of your time building relationships in this space, creating content and communications plans and initiatives that support the delivery of the Life strategy. You won’t do that alone. You’ll report directly into the Internal Communications and Engagement Business Partner for Life, and work closely with the rest of our Internal Communications team, wider CABS team, and key stakeholders across Life.

Key accountabilities for this role include:

  • Contributing to the delivery of our Internal Communications strategy – supporting the delivery of our functional communication plans through a variety of activity, including finding, writing and publishing great stories, helping to organise key colleague events and getting creative with communications campaigns.
  • Shaping your own communications agenda - partnering with key areas of the Life business and driving your own communications plans for key strategic deliverables.
  • Driving colleague engagement through data – using data and insight to better understand the needs of our colleagues and evolving a communications plan that drives engagement at all levels of our business.
  • Building great relationships – forging tight relationships with key people across M&G, including members of our leadership team and key stakeholders within the Life business.

Some of the skills and experience you’ll need:

  • Experience working as part of an Internal Communications team or in a role where you’ve worked as part of a team to deliver communications activity.
  • A creative thinker who knows how to spot a really great story and how best to share it.
  • The ability to explore and understand complex topics and create engaging content that links back to our corporate narrative.
  • The ability to work well with a range of stakeholders to understand their agenda and needs.
  • A reputation for getting stuff done to a high standard, on time and with good attention to detail.
  • The ability to make good use of data and analytics to inform decisions and actions.
  • An interest in developing a broad network, both internally and externally.

We’re dedicated to supporting your wellbeing and helping you thrive, both at work and beyond. Our benefits are designed to help you balance your professional and personal life, and financially plan for the future. Our UK benefits include:

  • A valuable pension scheme of up to 18% (13% made up of employer contributions and 5% employee contributions).
  • Access to our Share Save and Share Incentive Plan, alongside financial wellbeing and support services.
  • Enjoy 38 days annual leave (including bank holidays), with the opportunity to purchase up to five extra days.
  • Our market-leading Inspiring Families policy includes comprehensive support and paid parental leave.
  • Health & Protection cover includes Private Healthcare, Critical Illness cover and Life Assurance for you, with additional family options.

At M&G we strive to have a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds – across gender, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation and more – including neurodivergent individuals, career returners and those with military service experience.

M&G is proud to be Level 3: Disability Confident Leader under the UK Government Disability Confident employer scheme, and we welcome applications from candidates with disabilities and long‑term health conditions. We are committed to providing an inclusive recruitment process. All candidates have the opportunity to request reasonable adjustments when applying.
