Main Responsibilities
- Support the oversight of outsourced Financial Crime controls, including those performed by TPAs and under intragroup arrangements, across all Life business and products.
- Review and challenge third-party and internal team processes, procedures, KPIs, and MI to ensure adherence to Group Policy, Standards, contractual agreements, and regulatory expectations.
- Identify trends, risks, and areas for escalation.
- Maintain robust records of TPAs, supplier and team performance, identifying potential risks, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct thematic reviews and testing over key Financial Crime processes conducted by other teams or third parties, such as due diligence and screening, ensuring compliance with Financial Crime standards.
- Support the development and maintenance of governance frameworks, including Terms of Reference for TPA Financial Crime forums.
- Coordinate and participate in supplier governance meetings, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
- Identify, escalate, and triage non-compliance, performance concerns, or risks to the Governance, Reporting & Oversight Team Lead and Control & Quality Assurance Team Lead.
- Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external TPAs to embed a strong compliance culture.
- Support the Governance, Reporting & Oversight Team Lead in driving the Financial Crime agenda across outsourced relationships.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of oversight frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience within FC, including operational activities such as screening and due diligence.
- Experience within financial crime assurance activities, including process and controls testing.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of financial crime risk management controls and process application.
- Experience with TPA/TA outsourcing arrangements and managing service agreements.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of intragroup arrangements.
- Proven ability to oversee and manage relationships with suppliers and third parties.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
