The Solution Designer is responsible for shaping and defining technology solutions that support Corporate Functions across the organisation, including Finance, Risk, HR, Legal, Workplace Solutions, Audit, and Corporate Affairs. The role focuses on translating business needs into clear, robust, and sustainable solution designs that align with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and strategic objectives.
Working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams and technology partners, the Solution Designer ensures solutions are fit for purpose, deliver value and can be effectively implemented and supported.
Main Responsibilities- Work with Corporate Function stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear solution designs.
- Produce high‑quality solution designs covering functional, non‑functional, integration, data, and security considerations.
- Ensure solution designs align with enterprise architecture standards, technology strategy, and governance processes.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, analysts, and delivery teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Identify and manage design risks, assumptions, and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigations are in place.
- Assess solution options and provide clear, evidence‑based recommendations.
- Support delivery teams during implementation to maintain design integrity while responding to change.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of solution design practices, patterns, and standards.
- Experience designing technology solutions in complex corporate or enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end solution design, including applications, integrations, and data.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience working within structured delivery and governance frameworks.
- Awareness of security, resilience, and regulatory considerations relevant to corporate systems.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
- Have at least 3 years’ experience designing Finance & Data Technology Architecture.
- Expert level understanding of Oracle Fusion, AHCS, EPM.
- Significant Experience with Azure Data Tooling: ADF, Databricks, Synapse.
- Ability to understand Data Modelling & Data Governance.
- Strong understanding of Finance processes and their supporting technology landscapes.
