The Role: The Investment Data Platform is a key part of M&G\’s data capability. The team develops the platform to meet the growing demands of M&G Investment teams, Clients, and Regulators. It combines data expertise, analysis, and engineering to enable insights and analytics across various areas including Sustainability, Public and Private assets, Research, and Regulatory capabilities. We seek a Data Analyst with asset management domain knowledge to participate in designing and developing a cloud-native Investment Data platform within an agile team. Your main focus will be advancing a market-leading Investment Data Platform to support M&G’s Sustainability programme. Key Accountabilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and software delivery teams to define data requirements for sustainability data solutions. Support the development of sustainability data capabilities by designing and delivering data sets aligned with Data Governance policies. Build strong relationships with business functions to ensure timely delivery of sustainability data that meets investment management, client servicing, and regulatory requirements. Work with stakeholders and technology teams to improve data management and quality processes across collection, transformation, and reporting. Assist in developing procedures and guidelines for sustainability data to ensure best practices. Key Responsibilities and Environment: Be part of a team with a strong sense of product ownership, committed to building scalable and robust software. Deliver clearly defined outcomes, exercising discretion in execution. Suggest improvements based on experience and knowledge. Participate in requirements gathering, data modeling, integration, engineering, testing, and release processes as part of a cross-functional team. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Business, Investment Data Services, and Investments Technology teams. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical data specifications. Strong data exploration and analytical skills for problem-solving and understanding software systems. Experience with large delivery programs. High attention to detail, quality focus, and efficiency in meeting deadlines. Proactive, self-starter attitude, capable of managing workload in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle multiple interdependent deliverables. Desire to produce high-quality outcomes. Good understanding of Investment Data components (Transactions, Positions, Instrument T&Cs, etc.). Knowledge of agile methodologies and Data Governance principles.
