The Workplace Solutions (WPS) Project Manager is responsible for delivering workplace and property-related projects that support business objectives, operational effectiveness and colleague experience across the UK portfolio.
The role focuses on office fit-outs, relocations, workplace refurbishments, space reconfigurations, moves and changes, and workplace improvement projects.
Working with business stakeholders, Workplace Solutions colleagues and external partners, the role holder will manage projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to implementation, operational handover and close-out.
The role requires strong project management capability, effective stakeholder engagement and a focus on delivering quality outcomes within agreed scope, budget and timelines.
- Main Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of workplace and property projects, including fit-outs, relocations, refurbishments, moves and changes, and workplace reconfigurations.
- Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from concept and planning through to implementation, operational handover and close-out.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, governance documentation and reporting, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with M&G change governance requirements and control standards.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with M&G change governance requirements, maintaining appropriate approvals, documentation, reporting and stage‑gate controls throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change controls to support successful delivery.
- Coordinate Workplace Solutions colleagues, business teams, suppliers, contractors and specialist advisers to deliver agreed project outcomes.
- Engage stakeholders to define requirements, agree project scope, manage expectations and support effective decision‑making.
- Ensure projects comply with Health & Safety requirements, security standards, workplace policies, property and building regulations, environmental standards and governance requirements.
- Support business readiness, operational transition and colleague adoption to embed new workplace environments and ways of working.
- Monitor project expenditure, supplier performance and project benefits to support value delivery.
- Complete post‑implementation reviews and apply lessons learned to support continuous improvement across Workplace Solutions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls that support improvement of the overall control environment, customer outcomes and reduction of operational risk.
