Corporate Pension Solutions (CPS) is a division within M&G Life with a remit to design and deliver bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to ongoing success and a strong opportunity, the team is adding headcount in a number of areas. The CPS Relationship Manager is responsible for ensuring transactions that are executed are sustainable and scalable alongside post-execution management of selected CPS transactions.

Key Responsibilities for this role:
  • Contract Management of CPS transactions
  • Pre-sales support to the CPS Solutions Director in relation to operational clauses
  • Relationship Management of external CPS counterparties including Trustees and Reinsurers acting as the key point of contact for both internal and external parties
  • Responsible for the collation of all reporting data including having overall responsibility for the quality of all external deliverables
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on challenges to assumptions and calculations
  • Development of an operating model for the operation of Reinsurance contracts including embedding appropriate controls
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovation and the seeking out and acting on new opportunities
  • Provide management information to appropriate governance forums
  • Support the delivery of other elements of the CPS business plan
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Strong analytical or actuarial skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Financial Services & Insurance knowledge, especially around defined benefit pension de-risking, with profits, reinsurance and investment solutions (including Defined Contribution investment solutions)
  • Experience of managing a number of internal parties to ensure delivery of contractual deliverables
  • Experience of managing external counterparties
  • Passion for the customer
  • Pension Technical knowledge
  • Effective written and presentation skills
  • High degree of honesty, integrity and discretion
