The Head of Product Evaluation will be responsible for product evaluation activity for a range of public and private assets funds in various domiciles, including the UK, Luxembourg and Ireland. This includes regulatory obligations such as the UK value assessment report and EU annual fund reviews, as well as supporting commercial post‑launch evaluation.

The Head of Product Evaluation will need to be capable of planning and leading the activity and presenting the results to boards and regulators. This will include taking accountability for processes and procedures and an appropriate control environment. Remedial actions will need to be captured, communicated, monitored and reported.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supported by a team ensure a coherent, efficient and deliverable Product Evaluation plan across M&G fund ranges.
  • Deliver collaborative value assessments requiring multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver against tight timelines on complex issues to create an assessment of value.
  • Ensure the integrity and governance of an extensive data model and subsequent analysis for producing critical output to undertake assessments of value.
  • Organise and chair Value Assessment Steering Group meetings, papers, appropriate minute taking and escalation of action points.
  • Utilise a range of analytical tools and ad hoc output to monitor key initiatives such as Pricing, ESG, private markets, digital and competitor positioning.
  • Represent customer value and Product Evaluation at key product gatherings such as the Product Development Management Meeting and Global Product Distribution Meeting.
  • Responsible for a project to scale strategies and scale‑up evaluation by automation.
  • Close, successful relationship‑building with stakeholders at all levels to embed the spirit of fair value, keep them informed of any issues arising and to broadcast ideas on product evolution.

  • Keen understanding of regulatory requirements and motivation to provide consumers with appropriate outcomes.
  • Line management experience.
  • Experience with boards and regulators.
