Role Purpose
Supports and works closely with the CEO by managing information flows, governance processes, and performance reporting across M&G Life. Ensures meetings and committees run smoothly, provides clear and timely insight on business performance, and acts as a central link between the CEO’s office, Group functions, and Life business units.
Main Responsibilities
- Meeting and Committee Support
- Prepare briefing papers for the CEO for key meetings.
- Coordinate papers for PAC Board, PAC ExCo, PAC With‑Profits Committee, and Group Quarterly Business Review using standard templates.
- Produce the CEO report and oversee materials for PAC management committees (Pricing & Underwriting, Customer Committee, PAC Monthly Trading Meeting).
- Performance Analysis and Reporting
- Investigate and analyse financial performance across M&G Life.
- Produce and distribute a consolidated monthly MI pack covering financial results, customer insight, marketing, operational metrics, and risk indicators.
- Maintain a rolling dashboard of key financial KPIs (e.g., revenue, NBP, VNB, expense trajectory).
- Group Liaison
- Act as the main point of contact for Group requests for information and coordinate group‑wide activity.
- Projects & Analysis
- Lead and deliver projects and analysis directed by the CEO, ensuring outcomes support growth and transformation.
- Governance and Risk
- Maintain oversight of governance frameworks and risk controls within the CEO’s office; identify and fix process gaps to strengthen controls and reduce operational risk.
- Communication and Culture
- Work with Internal Communications and business leaders to shape the Life narrative and engagement plan; coordinate town halls and leadership sessions.
- People and DE&I
- Partner with HR on hiring, retention, and development; lead the function’s DE&I agenda.
- Formal Participation
- Attend PAC ExCo, weekly executive meetings, PAC management committees, and PAC Board/sub‑committees as required.

Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in financial reporting within a Life business.
- Proven track record operating at senior levels in large, complex organisations (financial services/insurance preferred).
- Strategic and commercial acumen; able to balance long‑term priorities with short‑term needs.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; comfortable engaging with Board‑level stakeholders.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and deliver results in challenging environments.
- Solid understanding of governance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the Life business.
